Now then – new R1s and R1Ms. It seems a lot of owners are mistakenly sending off their ECUs for ‘flashing’, or going to poorly equipped Dyno centres to get their bikes sorted (and they do need some of that!) only to discover that the thing is suddenly riddled with fault codes.

These are complex machines with equally complicated (and interleaved) electronics. Every time an R1 is run on a Dyno it needs the fault codes clearing; equally if the ECU is flashed all of the diagnostics are cleared, which then causes fault problems.

Whatever you bolt on to your R1 or R1M – quickshifter, autoblipper etc – if you come to us here at BSD we can make everything work together as a whole package through remapping the factory ECU. We can also make it feel like your old R1, with the performance of a new R1. So talk to us if you’ve got any questions!
