We like ECU remapping Triumph Thunderbirds, and we like the bike too. They are one of those bikes we can make a big difference to! obviously, switching off all the emissions equipment is a good start but there’s a tweak we do that gives the rider control back of the fuelling.
And when we’ve worked our little bit of magic – obviously we’re not going to say what it is – it’s like strapping a big ol’ pair of carburettors on. It ends up with a lovely ‘analog’ feel at the throttle, rather than the over-complicated ‘digital’ nightmare it starts with… it starts doing what it’s told, rather than being run by a committee that can’t agree with itself!
