With the days getting shorter and the nights drawing in, now is the time to give serious thought about checking your motorcycle over for the riding you will do over the next couple of months.
Hopefully if the winter is as good as it was last year, you will be able to enjoy even more ride outs on those crisp/dry and chilly mornings.
BSD will give your bike a pre-winter check, if you have not got the time but if you prefer to do it yourself, here are some pointers!
THINK before you set off: LIGHTS! are they all working? BATTERY! is it fully charged? TYRES! Are the pressures correct and is the tread good? BRAKES! Did you get them serviced in the summer? ANTIFREEZE! Is it up to strength? FINALLY! Am I visible to other roadusers????? THE BRIGHTER THE BETTER!!!!!
Don’t forget if you do ride when the roads get gritted, make sure you clean your bike thoroughly to prevent damage and corrosion setting in!
