Suzuki B-King full ECU remap and Dyno setup

By 13th February 2013ECU Remap, Suzuki

The owner of this B-King bought it in to us because he’d fitted some open cans, chopped the cat out and altered the airbox, and was panicking a little as he was sure it wasn’t running right after the work (he had good reason, too as it was well short of fuel…).

For a bike like the B-King we can do everything via an ECU remap; switch off the speed limiter, raise the rpm limit and dispense with the first, second and third gear ignition limiters. We also opened the secondary butterfly valves up at max rpm (they were at 95% at the top end) and started them opening a little earlier. We also raised the rev ceiling to 10,800rpm.

We then sorted the fuelling to finish the job off – standard, these bikes make about 162bhp. Before the remap, this one was making 174bhp but running very lean, after  our work it put out a clean 180bhp. Good result!

The owner of this B-King had heavily modded his intake and exhaust setup, and an ECU remap topped the job nicely...
