We find people get scared over manufacturer warranties and feel obliged to keep going to their supplying dealer. The truth is any VAT registered business using genuine parts can service the bike and uphold the worth of the warranty.
The owner of this 696 Monster wasn’t having any of it anyway, so brought his bike to a business that he knew knew Ducatis – namely us. So we went through it: new oil and filter, plus its first set of new belts. Now if you use your Ducati regularly going a few months over the belt service interval is OK. It’s if it’s left for long periods of time you can have trouble…
Anyway – a lovely bike, sorted.
