An MV Agusta Brutale 920, owned by one of our regular customers (we’ve set-up. ECU re-mapped and Dyno’ed pretty much every bike he owns, from a Paul Smart Replica to 748 and 1098).
He bought the Brutale because he’s looking to do a few track days on it next year and likes this style of bike. It’s brand new, with 200 miles on the clock, so we put it on the Dyno just to make sure everything was ok, which it was. Also, he wanted us to check whether we could get into the ECU without problem with a view to re-mapping, once he’s racked up a few miles and replaced the stock exhaust pipe.
And yes, we can. It’s a Marelli ECU, very much a known quantity, and the only problem is the OBD communication port; we’ll custom-build a two-pin (as opposed to three-pin) plug for access to download the map, and he’s going to bring the bike back in the New Year.
