We’ve known the owner of this MV a little while (he’s Dodgy Dave the car salesman, according to Gill) and looked after several of his bikes over the years.

He bought it and (in his own words) “is a fast man…” He reckoned it was ticking a lot of boxes but didn’t quite have what he wanted. So we stripped the exhaust system out and replaced it with a Zard sourced by Gill from Italy, which looked good and fitted well.

We then got on with the ECU remap and after all was said and done it made 140bhp at the rear wheel, which we’re over the moon with. We test rode it and immediately declared it lovely; something like (in feel) of an old-school Suzuki GSX-R1000K1.

It’s got some beans, especially rolling it on/off and you can tell it’s running free. Between the exhaust and the remap it gained 11bhp, and remember a 675 Triumph makes 115/116 stock…

140bhp in a small but perfectly formed package? Sweet!
