So this was the father’s KTM RC8, brought in for the same reason as his son’s Kawasaki ZX-10R; a full overhaul of the ECU’s maps. Although the cans looked standard they’d been gutted  – he’s a capable mechanic and had done it himself – and the bike looked tidy. By the time we’d finished it was making over 150bhp.

The owner was very interested in what we were doing, and we were happy to explain it all to him because he had a solid grasp of how his bike was working in the first place. He went away with improved insight into the huge changes we’d made to his ECU to improve power delivery and throttle feel. Job done!

Gutted cans, an ECU remap and over 150bhp at the back wheel. That'll do!
