Now this is a rare beast but if there are 10 in the country we’ve seen most of ‘em! With good reason – they are horrendous. The bike itself is ok, with some good features but the engine just runs so rough and spluttery, thanks to the lambda working away (badly) in the closed loop area.

The ECU remap is at the end of the job; valve clearances are worthing checking because they tighten up a lot, causing bad running on one cylinder – we always ask the owner to make sure they’ve been done recently.

This bike had been well serviced so was ready for its remap. It was cutting out and stalling at junctions a lot, and we found the idle control map needed some attention to sort that out – we could then dial the fuelling in to create the motorcycle the manufacturer had in mind in the first place…

A rare beast, and now a sorted one…
