This Super Ten came to us directly from Yamaha dealer Len Manchester; looking to show the bike in its best light they wanted to pep up the performance a little. We fitted a full Arrow exhaust system (which went on beautifully), plus PC V, and then mapped it on the Dyno.
We also had to use a Power Commander Optimizer for the closed-loop area of the fuelling, which is the low-to-midrange. We sorted this first, and then mapped the higher rpm range normally. The bike came in making 92bhp at the back wheel and, if we’re honest, felt slightly lethargic. It left with a 104bhp, and felt much more sprightly…
