The owner of this spanking new Suzuki GSX-R works in the motor industry; he said he’d done a bit of racing in the past and wanted his new toy bringing up to a real good spec. He’d brought with him a used Power Commander that he wanted fitted – we’d have preferred a full ECU remap because we can do so much more, but he had it so we bolted it in.
But (as we could) through the ECU we turned of all the emissions equipment and ignition restrictions, and also amalgamated the ignition and fuelling maps, removing some subtle further restrictions.
With the PC we just tickled the fuelling a bit overall – which it’s actually very good for. We then fitted a Cordona PQ8 quickshifter. These units are still the absolute business in our eyes; bombproof in use, accurate and reliable. Lovely job!
