2009 Honda CBR1000RR Power Commander PC V and 02 Eliminator set-up with full custom mapping

This tidy Honda CBR1000RR FireBlade is owned by a very switched on customer who’d previously been running a Dynojet Autotune system; now although he never had any major problems with it he felt that it wasn’t as good as it could be. Essentially The Autotune remaps itself as it goes along, but the problems occur because it doesn’t take into account braking and sudden stops, and fluctuations in temperature, and glitches in the map can occur.

When you build a map on the Dyno it’s in a much more consistent and controlled environment, as is the subsequent map which is much more linear as you’re not on/off the throttle all the time as you build it, like you are when you’re riding.

We had a look at the Autotune’s map and there were some obvious areas that needed addressing. The owner of this Blade however decided to ditch the Autotune completely and go with a Power Commander PC V with full custom map and 02 Eliminator; we also disconnected the emissions hardware. It now puts out 170bhp at the back wheel, and after a test ride we will declare this particular FireBlade absolutely mint, and fully blessed with a beautiful power delivery.

A Power Commander PC V, 02 Eliminator and full custom mapping have produced a mint Blade.
