These older Triumphs are difficult to remap due to the Sagem ECU used, as the program keeps dropping out (it’s effectively a car ECU) and there are all sorts of quirks with ’em. You think you’ve got a fuelling problem but in fact it’s the ECU not knowing where it is relative to what the engine’s actually doing…
We can get around most of the issues thrown up and do an effective (if fairly broad-brushed) remap that sharpens up power delivey and helps deal with the horrible mid-range hole these things have always suffered with. The most important thing is getting rid of the lambda sensor; most are broken now anyway, and will be working erratically at best and more than likely will introduce extra random faults for the hell of it!
