The new owner of this 2011 Ducati 848 Evo booked it with us for a full service including the valve clearance check. When dropping the bike off to us, he explained that the bike was also suffering from a misfire, so that was to be investigated while it was in the workshop. The customer also asked us to fit some a new pair of tyres and get an M.O.T, so everything was done ready for the spring.
The service was carried out but the misfire was a fault within the ecu and also the bike had no air filter fitted, although it was supposed to have had a PDI from the dealership that the customer had purchased it from.
Luckily within our a store of Ducati parts, we found an air filter and another ecu, which cured the misfiring problem, with the service complete, new tyres fitted and M.O.T done, the bike is already to go and be enjoyed!
