In for a pre-season freshen-up was this tidy little 450 racebike. Built around a Honda CRF450R single cylinder MX engine with a bespoke chassis and Aprilia swingarm, it was campaigned by a father and son team, with the lad doing the riding. We built the engine originally, and now dad’s taken over the riding as his boy’s packed in; he wanted us to run it on the Dyno and check the fuelling before trekking all the way to his next meeting and, as it happens, it was fine.
