It is has now been just over a year since BSD (sole trader) became BSD Engineering & Performance Ltd and wow what a year it has been!
The new extension was finished and ready to move into back in June, giving the engineering part of the business more room and a more professional work space. Two more machines have now been added to increase our capacity list and because of the high demand for food production during the lockdowns, the guys have been working flat out.
The new website www.bsdengineering.uk was also launched last month, with news and articles of work in progress, giving potential customers a insight of what we can do.
The motorcycle side of the business has been fully booked for most of the year and despite having a few cancellations back in March, bookings have continued with plenty of bikes that have been re commissioned back to use, after sitting in garages because owners have not had the time, but not this year, some of us have had more time on their hands than they would have liked.
As well as all the older bikes that have been through the workshop, there has also been plenty of newer bikes especially for ecu re-mapping and with new software being developed, allows us to increase the amount of models that we can actually do. Sometimes we do have to be patient and wait for the software companies to catch up but they have make 100% sure that the information they are releasing is correct, otherwise it could spell disaster!
A steady stream of engines have been coming in to be refreshed, so that has kept Mark busy and some track day bikes whose owners are getting them ready for the start of 2021 European track days.
Despite a difficult year for all, BSD Engineering & Performance has knuckled down and carried on, we would like to thank all our customers and suppliers that have supported us in 2020, we now look forward to 2021!
