This Kawasaki came in originally for its 6,000 mile service. It had twin end-cans onboard and the owner asked if – while it was here – we could do something with the the fuelling via an ECU remap. With this particular Kwak we can’t turn the lambdas off but can get around them easily enough so that’s what we did…

Next up we sorted the fuelling and ignition maps to match the cans and, blimey! The engine was transformed; responsive and ever so driveable everywhere. And it made good horsepower too; a stock one of these we’ve had on the Dyno made about 126bhp, this one put out 133bhp after the remap.

Amazing what a fiddle with fuelling and ignition maps can do – the engine in this Kawasaki is transformed.
