The owner of this Triumph Thunderbird had already been in to get his ECU remapped, but really wanted a set of open pipes to liven up his ride so went away, sourced a set and came back to get his engine running to match as he knew that this would change the fuelling requirements.
We went through the whole mapping process on the Dyno; it gained a couple of horsepower and we were able to compensate for the reduced back pressure from the free-breathing exhaust.
These Trumpets do respond so well after they’ve been uncorked – they feel like a new bike and the chap who own this one was over the moon…
