We’ve ECU remapped a lot of Triumph Thruxtons now and the owners, generally, fit open pipes and bin the air filter – trying to liven ‘em up and bit and help ‘em breathe.
Which works. The only thing that needs doing after that is an ECU remap because the fuelling will be all over the place. Which is why a lot of Thruxtons come our way! While we’re matching the fuelling to the intake/exhaust setup we also switch off all the emissions nonsense to get the engine to work correctly.
It’s a straightforward job for us and the gains are noticeable.
