This was brilliant! And what a pretty bike. We spent ages on this new Thruxton – the owner was a real enthusiast and left it with us for as long as we wanted. So we took our time!

We started by blanking off the emissions interference and lambda and then mapped the fuelling. Cautiously to start with, and then on the fly on the Dyno with the engine under load to feel and see what it was asking for.

And it really needed more fuel in the mid-range. Afterward, during the road test we were impressed, what a lovely engine with a lovely flexible power delivery. We reckon you could embarrass an awful lot of higher-powered tackle with this. Well done Triumph!
