The owner of this Tiger 800 came to see Gill in the office and knew what he wanted – an Arrow exhaust can fitted and then an ECU remap to suit. He loved his bike, and didn’t want to buy a 1050 because it’d be too big, but wanted a bit more bottom and mid-range go.
Triumph supplied the Arrow can – with a baffle – which in all fairness sounded nice and fruity but without being offensive. We started by switching off the lambda sensor and SAI valve then de-restricted the ignition and bingo! These poor things are short of fuel, so once you fire some in the engine perks right up…
