This Suzuki SV1000 is owned by the wife of an old customer of ours – who owns a Kawasaki Versys – and she bought it in to have it squared up. So, on went the cans, Power Commander PC 3, K&N filter, and heated grips (she rides in the winter, too). Now the fuel economy on these big V-twins is rubbish; liberating the engine and sorting the fuelling with the Power Commander can really help, as a load of fuel has to come out of the table as they run so rich. It’s almost like the Euro power limit of 105bhp is achieved by drowning the engine in petrol…
