The owner of this GSX-R750K7 turned up after having ridden all the way from Christchurch. It’s a smart bike with plenty of bits on, but used daily – he wasn’t happy with the service he was getting from his local Suzuki dealer so came to us. No doubt, it was a big job, a full service including valve clearances plus chain and sprockets. As it was used daily a lot of maintenance was needed that hadn’t been done – things like pulling the levers out and lubing them. We then went through its setup on the Dyno.
One weird thing. We noticed it had popped an indicator bulb, so put a new one in… after the owner had picked it up, he was back in 5 minutes; the bulb on the other side had blown! We swiftly put a new one in and he was on his way home. Before he left (and pleasingly for us) he said it felt like a new motorcycle. That’s just what a thorough, proper full service should feel like.
