This B-King made its way to us after its owner fitted a quickshifter and then found it was jumping out of fifth and sixth gear. We know him reasonably well and agreed to have a look at it; the input shaft and fourth, fifth and sixth gears were all damaged. Which is quite common on Busa engines, it has to be said.

Now as part of our development plans for the future we’ve invested heavily in engineering equipment and rather than buy off-the-shelf Suzuki replacements (which would possibly not last again) we decided to manufacture our own. We used a top quality raw material and went from a 5-dog to 3-dog undercut design for a slicker change.

We’ve seen a lot of ruined gearboxes over the years – especially when used in car applications – so have a solid idea of how to make ’em better. The great thing about the machinery and know-how we have out back is that we can now do something about it, so we are! First up will be complete GSX-R1300 and S1000RR gearboxes. Watch this space…

Made from better material, with an undercut 3-dog design for a slick change, BSD gears!

It's coming back shortly and we're going to set the quick shifter to work through the ECU, with a cut specific for each gear.
