MCN bought a new Aprilia Tuono in as part of a group test recently; it’s tiny, but packs a walloping 154bhp punch out of its V4 engine. The Ducati Streetfighter, in comparison made 146bhp, the Triumph Speed Triple put out 123bhp and the MV Brutale 1090 126bhp. The Tuono’s fully loaded with traction control and looks like it’s been nobbled just a bit at the top end compared to the RSV4, but still 154 real world horses with no fairing? Real men only need apply…
If it wasn't for its tall seat (and maybe 154bhp) the tiny new Aprilia Tuono would attract a lot of ladies and those short in the inseam...
