This 2012 KTM 990 Superduke R was booked in with us for ecu re-mapping.
Like many other KTM’s it suffered from a snatchy throttle and slow speed running issues and the only way to rectify this, is to switch off the emission controls.
The bike had been fitted with a full Akrapovic exhaust and a BMC air filter, so it needed to be fuelled properly to suit the changes made, but we did notice while the bike was on the dyno, that the throttle body balance was slightly out, but the customer is going to sort that out.
Now along with the other 800 or so owners that have had their KTM’s ecu re-mapped here, he will able to enjoy it.
