2011 Kawasaki GTR1400 Power Commander PC V plus K&N filter fit and setup

By 16th April 2013ECU Remap, Kawasaki, Power Commander

We were a little surprised when Gill booked in a GTR1400 (it’s the first one we’ve seen) but the owner had fitted his own Two Brothers exhaust can and link pipe and felt it was running rough around 4/5000rpm, so came to us for some Dyno time.

We put the K&N filter in (which would magnify the problem) and then installed the PC V to adjust the fuelling. We added fuel through the mid-range, which smoothed out (and livened up) the power delivery and blanking off the secondary air valve made a big difference as it stopped it popping and banging down the pipe on the overrun which, on a touring bike, was at best a little undignified…

Smoother in the middle and no banging on the overrun – a PC V has cured this GTR's fuelling issues.
