This 796 Hypermotard came all the way from Bristol to have its ECU remapped. It was dreadfully lean, so after we switched the lambdas off (to stop the ‘hunting and low speed rough running) sorting the fuelling out was critical, especially off the bottom to achieve an improved throttle response.

With Ducatis like this it’s super important to treat both cylinders individually, as a separate lambda controls each one. We built an individual fuelling table for each cylinder and gave them what they were crying out for – more fuel.

Lean as you like and running a little rough – this 796 needed more fuel.
