This Multi’ is owned by an old customer of ours, a good lad (we’ve remapped all of his KTMs). It was bought for his wife and he wanted to know if we could do anything with it through the ECU as he’d fitted some open cans. The answer was yes…

We plugged in, ran it up on the Dyno and took a look. And found a familiar story – this was a bike mapped at the factory purely for emissions purposes. All it needed was some fuel, and the difference in the engine was like night and day; silky smooth throttle response and noticeably sharper.

The only trouble? As it was so weak prior to the remap it wasn’t bothering the clutch, which was just hanging on (we could tell from the lever travel). But a dose of extra snap was just enough to overcome the poor little thing…

Weak and strangled when it came in, liberated with fuel on the way out...
