Ducati 748 Power Commander PC III fit and setup

By 11th January 2013Ducati, ECU Remap

Older Ducatis, these days, are becoming a little bit troublesome in the respect that their ECUs (or chips) are starting to play up. Wiring harnesses, too can give grief. With a fuel injected engine of any persuasion if signals are missed then the engine will run badly.

As this 748 was. One of a pair owned by the same customer, we mapped the other with a Power Commander PC III and got it sorted nicely. Thissun has been a real problem to setup with a Power Commander. We’re suspecting that an aftermarket chip (that sort that came with open pipes back in the day) is the culprit. Time will tell but if your Duke is running like a bag of spanners, it’s likely to be an electrical breakdown somewhere…

An ageing, hooky chip is causing this otherwise very tidy 748 to run poorly…
