Performance Parts
What performs is what matters to us. To that end we only endorse, stock and supply items that work to our specifications and on our shelves you’ll find products from Yoshimura, Dynojet, Power Commander, K&N and Öhlins. We’re not interested in flashy marketing and advertising, or the ‘it’s new so it must be good’ items. If we know it does the job well, we’re happy to supply it and put our name behind it.
If a new gearbox or alternate ratios are required then Nova Racing Transmissions is the only place we go; based locally to us we have a relationship that spans three decades and their reputation for building tough and reliable gearboxes is unequalled. Likewise, Kent Cams have often made us one-off camshafts for specific use or development work and between us we have evolved an extensive range of cams suitable for many applications and engines.
We also produce a small, but ever growing, range of BSD Performance Parts including heavy duty crash bungs and engine power-up accessories. Every part is manufactured in our own Precision Engineering facility and made from the highest quality materials to exacting specifications.
The only oil we use and recommend is Silkolene and because BSD Performance has worked closely with oil chemists within company over the years we are very confident in its products. On engine strip down, at points of contact – areas like camshafts and piston rings – the wear rate with a Silkolene oil such as Pro4 is minimal.

2010 Triumph Sprint ECU Reprogram
The issues with this bike mainly concern power and power delivery off the bottom especially two-up. It’s been back to the dealer and had the latest factory tune, but the owner wants a little more. First job? Isolate the Lambda sensor and cap off the emissions unit. The bike was then put on the Dyno and we reprogrammed the stock ECU; fuelling at the bottom end has been richened up, taking away the ‘hunting’ snatchiness. Fuelling all the way through the rev range has been optimized and the ignition curve trimmed.

2009 Yamaha R1 Road to Race
To upgrade to race spec we’ve fitted an Öhlins rear shock and MCT have modded the front forks. The engine’s been out and we’ve adjusted the cam timing, ported and skimmed the cylinder head and we’re fitting a set of BSD Performance adjustable bellmouths. It’s also having a YEC race loom and ECU, plus quickshifter.
